This unit uses compact flash memory cards (the same type as used in digital cameras) to store bat call data. A 128Mb CF card should record about 2 weeks' worth of data in continuous use. The unit also has timer facilities so it can be programmed to switch on and off automatically, simultaneously switching the bat detector on and off. The software for reading the memory card and extracting AnaBat files will now work on computers using any version of Windows from Windows 95 and later. CF memory card and CF reader/writer required.
