A robust compound microscope with quadruple objective turret, RMS standard thread achromatic objectives, rack and pinion coarse and fine focus controls, and separate substage Abbé condenser with iris diaphragm and filter carrier. The specimen stage is square, with side clips, and can accommodate a mechanical specimen driver. Illumination is by a 15 watt substage lamp. The SP14 has x4, x10, x40 and x100 (oil) achromatic objectives and x5, x10 and x12.5 eyepieces, giving a magnification range of x20 to x 1250. Magnification can be increased to x2000 using optional additional eyepieces. Supplied complete with wooden case.
