Vantage Pro weatherstations from Davis Instruments offer environmental monitoring, forecasting, data and on-screen graphing, all on a large LCD screen. The sophisticated forecasting algorithm takes wind and temperature into account as well as barometric pressure. Quick-view icons show the forecast at a glance while the moving ticker-tape display gives more details. Data is updated every 2.5 secs and over 80 graphs and 35 alarms are available on the console. Measurements can be displayed in metric or imperial measures. The wirefree console can receive data from sensors up to 250m away in an open area, and the transmission range can be extended up to one mile using wirefree repeaters. System operates at 868MHz. The Vantage Pro consists of a sophisticated indoor console plus outdoor rain collector, anemometer, temperature sensor, humidity sensor and solar panel for power, all mounted together in a convenient sensor suite. Or mount the anemometer/wind vane unit away from the sensor suite if required by using the included 12m cable or optional transmitter. Vantage Pro can be mounted on a suitable post (mounting hardware included) or on an optional tripod. Vantage Pro measures barometric pressure, inside and outside temperature and humidity, wind and rainfall, and also displays heat index, dew point, wind chill, date, time, sunrise and sunset times, and moon phase. You can also add up to seven extra Sensor Stations to build a complete environmental monitoring station to your own requirements. Extra sensors available include outdoor temperature, soil moisture and leaf wetness.
